El Tesoro Blanco is an archetypal highlands blanco tequila. It delivers all of the components of citrus, agave, fruit forwardness, and pepper on the nose. With slight flashes of smoke and honeysuckle. The citrus, agave, and spice follow through on the palate with a very structured flavor profile and oily body. This is a great choice blanco sipping tequila as it has the right body and finish. The finish is long, agave forward, with flashes of pepper, grass, and citrus.

The reposado brings great balance of oak and spices to compliment the honey forward sweetness of this tequila. Like its Blanco counterpart, it's very bold on notes of honey, citrus, fruits, with an addition of oak and spices. The nose delivers strong notes of wood, with dashes of vanilla, pepper, and spices. The finish is smooth and oaky with lingering honey.

For a Blanco, it has a small presence of agave due to the added agave nectar for smoothness. This is not an "additive free" tequila, but still shows some good flashes. Light notes of agave, with bold notes of honey, citrus, and peppermint. The nose is full of fruit and honey with remnants of agave. The finish is smooth and sweet with the agave nectar-honey flavor. This tequila suits great in a cocktail or as a shooter for a celebration.

Don Fulano Imperial is one of the best anejo tequilas that I have ever tasted. Uncanny presence of agave for an extra aged spirit. Robust caramel, chocolate, pecans, and spices. The flavors are complex and the texture is velvety. The finish lingers beautifully with notes of oak, caramel, and agave.

Lalo Tequila is a focus on the production of the worlds "best Blanco tequila. Unlike his ancestors, that preferred reposado tequila as the "best" Lalo tequila produces a vibrant and bold Blanco. Aromas of cooked agave, pepper, tangerine, wheatgrass are followed suit with strong flavors of agave and pepper. The citrus flashes linger on the finish. Mineral notes are also present, but this is a very traditional Blanco agave forward tequila that is additive free.

The anejo is American whiskey aged for 18 months. Full bodied and rich in mahogany color, we can discern a strong presence of oak and whiskey. Highly recommended for whiskey enthusiasts that want to segway into tequila. Bold aromas of oak, spice, vanilla, and charcoal. With almost no agave on the nose. These flavors follow suit with a strong presence of vanilla and oak. Hints of dried fruits and nuts, with a strong spicy finish that lingers and warms the chest cavity. I rated this low due to the almost non-existent agave component.

The reposado rests in used American whiskey barrels for 6 months. A strong base from the Blanco delivers slight aromas of agave, pepper, and fruits. The whiskey oaking is robust with aromas of oak, spices, and honey. These aromas are followed by strong oak and spices on the palate with lingering flashes of agave. The hint of honey is present on the finish with lingering notes of oak and spice as well. Not confirmed additive free.

Twice distilled and cooked in brick oven, this Blanco is slowly fermented over 72 hours. Upon distillation it is rested for two months in stainless steel. This delivers some more crispness to the spirit. On the nose we notice strong agave, pepper, and smoke with hints of tropical fruit. There was a slightly strong aroma of alcohol vapors which translated into some astringency. On the palate a bit of alcohol to begin with and then delivers a sweet vanilla coat on the palate. Slight flashes of agave and pepper with a nuance of medicinal notes. The finish is strong and astringent. As it breathes a little more, the smoke notes follow suit on the palate.

For a blanco, Tequila Ocho - La Canada delivers extreme complexity. Prominenta aromas of smoke, raw and cooked agave, bitters, citrus and ripened fruits follow suit with similar flavor profiles that add mineralogy and dry and oily mouthfeels with spice. It also tends to have an almost ferrous aroma and flavor for a split second at the front.

Gran Centenario is Mexico's number one tequila. A brand not yet commercially established in the US, Centenario delivers a tequila product a the highest rungs in its competitive price market. Centenario Plata is a unique barrel rested silver tequila which brings slight barrel influences into an agave forward expression. Roasted agave, pepper, smoke, and wheat grass are prominent notes on both the nose and the palate. Nuances of oak and spices are present as well as smooth vanilla nuanced finish.
