I enjoyed this. Don't let the cask strength scare you, the flavour still comes through nicely with minimal burn. Not super refined but enjoyable nonetheless. Fruity oak and pepper. I think the regular price was $80 CAD. if you can find the Glengoyne 15, it is the sophisticated older sibling to this rambunctious cask strength.66.0 CAD per Bottle

This is a great scotch... err Japanese whisky. My only complaint is that it tastes like a scotch and not a Japanese Whisky. It truly is a great dram, I was just surprised by the complex wood and smoke I tasted rather than the sweet cereal I was expecting from Japan. Maybe my inexperience is showing. This comes in a 500ml bottle with a regular price of $65 CAD.55.0 CAD per Bottle

Singleton of Dufftown 12 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed May 7, 2019 (edited December 22, 2019)This one really didn't sit well with me. I tried it along with a tullibardine sovereign, highland magnus, glenlivet captains reserve. This one was the odd man out. I picked up a lot of heavy wood and smoke and was just rough all around. I will give it another shot but I fear this might be a mixer for me, or an orange peel at least. Regular price is $50 something CAD.33.0 CAD per Bottle -
Glengoyne 15 Year (Discontinued)
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed May 7, 2019 (edited January 8, 2020)What a great 15 year. The place I bought it from said this batch is now discontinued so you might not see the 15 for a while. Surprisingly it was on sale as well, regularly $90 CAD. Great from start to finish, oak and vanilla. The cask strength Glengoyne while obviously stronger and not as refined still has some of the nice characteristics of the 15.69.0 CAD per Bottle -
Casamigos Añejo Tequila
Tequila Añejo — Highlands, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed May 6, 2019 (edited April 25, 2020)I really like this one. Smooth oak with just a touch of agave on the finish. An easy sipper. My comparrasion is the much more expensive Don Julio 1942. This is a little punchier with a bit more agave on the finish. The 1942 is the smoothest tequila I have tried, but the price point makes it a once in a while drink whereas the casamigos is great anytime. Regular price around $90 CAD, but goes on sale often.69.0 CAD per Bottle
