Don Julio 1942 Tequila
Tequila Añejo — Los Altos, Jalisco, MexicoReviewed March 11, 2023Starting off, I need to say that I am not a tequila fan. However, I never had this. The nose is full of caramel notes and oak. It smelled like desert. No lime and salt needed on this one! The taste was like eating caramel apples and toffee. I could not decide if the nose or the taste was more delighful. The good news is that i didnt have to. I will enjoy this one for awhile.179.0 USD per Bottle
Maker's Mark Wood Finishing Series 2022 BRT-02
Bourbon — Kentucky , USAReviewed January 4, 2023This particular Makers is really interesting as it is very flavorful and leaves a lot on the pallet during the finish. The nose is full of oak, fruit, and cacao. Toffee and caramel are also in the mix. Upon sipping this bourbon, there is an immediate sweetness followed by a smokey presence. The smoke lingers well into the finish. The caramel taste mixed with butter is quite delicious and certainly worth the price of the bottle. I wouldn’t consider the finish to be long but it is very pleasant.80.0 USD per BottleAle Wine & Spirits of Powell
Hidden Barn Small Batch Bourbon Series One (Batch #2)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USAReviewed November 25, 2022First time with Hidden Barn. Heard some good things.Overall, this tastes very young. On the nose you can smell corn with some light oak. Taste is where the youth really shows. Corn is the predominant flavor with some caramel and oak. It’s not complex or indulgent. The finish is long and warming. Not sure this was worth the $65 price tag but I am glad I tried it.65.0 USD per Bottle
Rossville Union Single Barrel Straight Rye (2021 Release)
Rye — Indiana, USAReviewed July 18, 2022Oak taste in the front end with a great finish. I wonderfully warm finish but not in your face. Nice lingering tastes of cinnamon and licorice. This pick was from TSR and proofed at 116.8. This has to be the most pleasant surprise in a rye.
Bourbon — Ohio, KY, Indiana, USAReviewed June 22, 2022This is a surprising pour. Very well balanced that overshoots it’s price point. Though blended the age of the oldest barrels stand out. Great balance of oak and brown sugar and graham crackers on the nose. Taste is of vanilla wafers, oak, honey, and a hint of chocolate on the finish. The body is oily and quite the mouthful. An excellent pout that goes under the radar.89.0 USD per Bottle

Blue Run Kentucky Straight Golden Rye (Batch #1)
Rye — Kentucky, USAReviewed December 24, 2021Wow! Coming in at 95 proof this Rye is easy to drink. Wonderful sweetness followed by a lingering finish. This is not your dry run of the mill rye. This has a wonderful oak and maple syrup taste. Some hints of banana and cherries. A total different profile than cask strength rye.
