Blue Run Reflection I Kentucky Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed May 4, 2022 (edited November 24, 2022)This is a solid daily drinker. The taste is that of maple and pancakes with a hint of cherries. Not a long but pleasant finish. Another great bottle by Blue Run.98.0 USD per Bottle -

Blue Run Kentucky Straight Cask Strength Rye (2021 Holiday Edition)
Rye — USA
Reviewed December 24, 2021 (edited December 2, 2022)This comes in at a delightful 106 proof. The immediate when opened is apples and baking spices. A dessert in a bottle. I get notes of brown sugar, maple syrup, cherries, and everything great about the holidays. I really like what Blue Run has done with Rye Whiskey. -
Finished in Vermouth. This bottle is really sweet. Initial smell immediately tells you vermouth. Followed by some oak and vanilla. This has all the markings of a sugar bomb. Pure desert on taste with all that sweetness and vanilla. It does finish with a long spicy taste left in your mouth. Oily and coats the tongue. Would be excellent if wasn’t so sweet.60.0 USD per Bottle

Wonderful bourbon that is shamefully hard to get and then overpriced by wayward retailers. Nose is soft and hints of vanilla, oak, and of course brown sugar. Wonderfully sweet on the tongue and finish is mild but long. Notes of cinnamon and other spices complemented this bourbon nicely.42.0 USD per Bottle

Barrel A27.16 I bought this bottle from Bourbon Enthusiast group. I heard great things about MB Roland and that it compares to Dr Pepper. First, the nose is very distinct and somewhat earthy. There is oak and a hint of brown sugar on the nose. The taste is earthy and syrupy with definite caramel undertones. Finish is a little flat. Defined different than the standard bourbons out there. However, this left me a little disappointed.60.0 USD per Bottle

This Irish is as good as it gets. A wonderful nose that is reminiscent of springtime fruits. The pour is light yellow with good legs. A mild sipping whiskey that tastes just like the smell of peaches/apricots. A perfect lingering of apricots but not overwhelming as in the 27 year. Definitely a favorite and priced ok when you can get a deal.220.0 USD per Bottle

Powers John's Lane Release 12 Year
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed July 6, 2021 (edited June 3, 2022)A very good IrishSingle Pot. Initial smell is sweet but not overpowering. Very subtle in taste with mild finish. Taste is very sweet and fruity. Lingering taste of melon and apricot. Excellent get that competes well with much more expensive Irish Whiskey.
