Glenfiddich IPA Experiment
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed June 6, 2017 (edited September 6, 2021)Crisp honey and floral nose. Honey vanilla and more citrus tartness. Hop bitters on the palate into the finish makes the tongue pucker in a good way, wanting more. A little sweetness lingers at the tail end. Not something I'd drink every day, but a nice addition for your bar for the guest that wants something a little different. -
Yellow Spot 12 Year Single Pot Still
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed March 31, 2017 (edited January 26, 2019)Lovely nose, banana, vanilla and toffee. Palate runs hotter than I expected, which makes flavors hard to detect. Mild, fruity sweet finish. A splash of water helps. I prefer the creaminess (and price) of Green Spot. -

Corsair Triple Smoke American Single Malt
American Single Malt — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed December 23, 2016 (edited April 24, 2018)The smoke is mild, especially on the nose, when compared to some of the peatier scotches, but it develops nicely through the palate and finish. Very smooth with no booze burn at all. Traces of both cherrywood and peat smoke come alongside a woody sweetness and a hint of salt.
