Glenkinchie 12 Year
Single Malt — Lowlands, Scotland
Reviewed September 13, 2016 (edited April 24, 2018)Cereal grain and spice on the nose. Pleasant, mildly sweet and malty, but not much complexity on the palate. Has a bit of an afterburn and leatheriness on the finish. Decent but not a home bar necessity. -

Mellow Corn Bottled in Bond Whiskey
Corn — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 28, 2016 (edited October 16, 2017)Nuts and corn, not too sweet. A little leather. Heat builds as you sip. Not that complex and short finish. -
Hankey Bannister Original Blend
Blended — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed July 10, 2016 (edited January 2, 2017)Nice sweetness and a pleasant metallic and earthy scent on the nose. Smooth warm honey and vanilla palate, a little fruit, strong tobacco finish. Nice mouthfeel. Better than some single malts I've tried and worth having a bottle in the bar, especially considering the price. -
Willett Family Estate Small Batch Rye 4 Year
Rye — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed June 27, 2016 (edited April 24, 2018)3 yr, 110.4 proof. Piney and herbal nose, sweet honey and bitter leather at the same time, dark chocolate, lots of alcohol burn. Long mellow finish. Give it time to open up. Generally prefer sweeter ryes, but this is a nice change of pace.
