Smooth, but still more bite than expected for a 40yo scotch. Wonderful flavor in the end and a bargain compaired to a typical Glenlivet 40yo bottle!

I wanna love this, but I only liked it. I still prefer Laphroaig or Talisker over the Port Charlotte. This dram seems to have more sweetness to it compared to my usual Islays.

Not usually a fan of Japanese whisky but this dram was phenomenal. Less of the strong initial alcohol bite and a smootj caramel corn finish.
