My favorite rye! Over 90% rye... lovely, classic nose: crushed mint leaf, black licorice, oak, juicy-fruit gum and... white pepper? Complex flavor: orange, mint, black licorice, oak, honey, apple, caramel, pepper, cinnamon. Sweet spice & apple linger on the finish.

"Barely legal rye" (51% rye). Bright, bold & spicy, prob #3 choice for cocktails behind Knob Creek 9yr Bourbon & Old Tub. Better neat than KC. Nose: cinnamon candy, mint, coffee/cocoa. Palate: cinnamon candy, dried fruits, caramel... light orange, cocoa, floral & mint notes.

Outstanding, complex, and so unique it's extremely difficult to difficult to describe. Toughest time I've ever had nosing a whiskey, eventually realized the most prevalent anchoring aroma is a dark, tangy tamarind, balanced with dried fruits (apple/fig), leather and pineapple. Palate: molasses, light floral notes & bright spice anchored by that dark, tangy tamarind. Medium long finish is spicy, sweet and delicately floral, with white pepper, ginger, citrus peel and dark honey.

Great bourbon! Outstanding & unique. Nose: soft notes of pineapple, oak, custard, lemon, ginger. Taste: this is a spice bomb, and delivers an instant "Kentucky hug" (warming sensation in the chest). Spice is hard to place... sharp ginger comes closest... some spice touches border on hot peppers (serrano?). Lemon custard, oak, pineapple. Creamy mouthfeel. Finish: long and complex. Spiciness lingers & then actually increases/sharpens for a while after tasting before gradually tapering off. Finish is also where the port cask flavors are most prominent.

Very tasty bourbon! Nose: sweet corn, green apple jolly rancher, pear, cinnamon. Palate: cinnamon, caramel apple, white pepper, orange peel.

Beautiful nose! Delicately floral w/o being "soapy," apple, oak, mandarin, soft cinnamon. Taste is lovely & complex: floral, light cinnamon apple, caramel, orange, orange peel, white pepper. Creamy mouthfeel. Spicy, apple & floral notes linger in a long finish... eventually spice fades and leaves the rest.

Bright, bold & spicy - a favorite for cocktails like Old Fashioned, Manhattan & Boulevardier. Caramel apple, floral & nutty notes. Black pepper & cinnamon carry through to a long finish. Intense flavor holds up to ice, or nurse neat for spicy drama. Great value.

Very spicy! Similar spice profile to Knob Creek, but with darker flavors and fewer floral notes. Cinnamon apple, orange, caramel. Creamy mouthfeel & long, spicy finish. Better neat than KC, but will probably be about as great for cocktails. Terrific value.

Nose: new oak, apple cider, cinnamon stick, delicate floral, orange peel. Palate: floral, caramel, vanilla, oak, bright citrus, and a pleasant undertow of cinnamon & white pepper spiciness that builds and lingers. A tremendous value... mops the floor with many far more expensive bourbons. Full flavored & 100 proof means it works very well in cocktails.
