Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedThis one is a win all around. Candied raisins on the nose with some toffee. Palate has vanilla custard,maybe even a creme brûlée, toasted oats. Finish has some sweet tobacco, fig, candied walnuts, and dried tea.
1792 Sweet Wheat
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedThis one is really light. I get candied pecans on the nose and on the initial palate. The finish has zero heat and the sweetness diminishes. Turns into more of a off-brand chocolate and cheap fruit cake.
Pappy Van Winkle 20 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedFan-flippin-tastic all around. The nose is calm with raisins, vanilla, sweet Mamaw purse candies. Palate is easy with oak vanilla, hints of faint cinnamon, and over ripened red fruits. The finish is great with the same palate notes but with added tea spices, and brown sugar.
Basil Hayden's Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedRaisins first on the nose. Followed by caramels, apple, fresh hay, and peanut brittle, minus the peanuts. The palate has light chocolate, rum raisins, and oak. Finish has sweet lingering pipe tobacco and tastes like how a fresh pouch of Stoker’s chewing tobacco smells. Kinda got to be a redneck to get that one.
Tomatin Cù Bòcan
Single Malt — Highlands, ScotlandTastedThe nose is light, with a citrusy smokey brine. The palate is has smokey crisp green apples, more citrus, very light peat. I would say this is a great one to try if you’re trying to ease into the smokey peat world.
Buffalo Trace Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedThis is actually a barrel pick from Bottles & Cases and someone over there has good taste. Sweet fruity oak, marshmallow, dried leaves, brown sugar and maple oatmeal, little bit of sweet tobacco and leather.
Tumblin Dice Bourbon Whiskey Single Barrel Barrel Proof
Bourbon — Bardstown Ky, USATastedSweet heat! So good. The high corn and rye mash bill gives this barrel proof bastard is one of the better bourbons I’ve tried. The nose is like cherry pipe tobacco. The palate very sweet tobacco forward with a spiced mince pie finish. Little tinge of a spice burn at the end.
Redwood Empire Lost Monarch
Blended American Whiskey — USATastedNose has persimmons, clementines, grapefruit sitting on tobacco leaves. Palate is a lightly salted muffin? Little bit of spice and oak. Finish has a lingering rye-ish spice

Bourbon — Kentucky, USATastedGreat fruit and rye flavor! This is good any time, but I feel like it’ll be a great thanksgiving, make the family easier to be around, bourbon. The spicy vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, fruit flavors are perfect for the fall months.

Rye — Utah, USATastedLeather and berries on the nose. Maybe some Apple Jacks cereal? Palate is pretty soft/sweet, like a hot grandma. Like Helen Mirren. Don’t kid yourself, you’d hit it. Finish has, bear with me, nuts and cinnamon.
