Tastes

LOTS of brown sugar and sherry on the nose. Absolute sherry bomb. Lots of lingering spice and oak underneath the sherry. Really effing good.

Lots of burn with oak, vanilla, and a nuttiness. Brown sugar on the nose. Great for the price. A drop or two of water really opens it up like one would a scotch.

Those who continue to drink this whiskey after their undergrad education are either starving artists or grad students. Considering it's actual bourbon, this is a total steal. Beats any blend. Great for mixing because it's so harsh. I'd use it in an old fashioned made with Demerara simple syrup.

Better than most other bourbons near the price. The rye kick makes it excellent for mixing. A great standard bourbon for those looking to have a well stocked bar.

There are bourbons that are better for the same price or less. This is to say that there's nothing really wrong with it, but there's nothing that really sings about it either. It tastes like bourbon should, and that's about it.
