My first peaty whiskey I don’t absolutely hate, might have something to do with the bourbon and sherry finish Wise Old Dog barrel pick

Uneventful nose with a slight alcohol burn to it. A nice kick up front with a very sweet cinnamon finish. For the price point this is a great sipper. Still the single barrel takes the cake for me but although this is not as complex and a good deal more sweet it's still a home run of a bourbon. Four Roses can do no wrong and is quickly becoming my go to brand.

Nice burn up front with a smooth finish. Very fruity floral nose and with the spicy kick up front you can tell this guy has a high rye content so I love it of course. Overall an impressive whiskey but nothing that will knock your socks off. Still good enough for 4 stars in my book.

Very affordable, has a nice burn and lingering finish. Wouldn't reach for it everyday as it kind of kicks my ass after awhile and numbs my mouth but definitely a bourbon I feel adding ice helps with opening up the flavors and taking some of the edge off it.

Excellent for the price, you get a lot of the fruity notes in the nose and on the palate. Nice burn after it's all said and done.

2003 Vintage being had, nice wood and alcohol nose. Strong kick on first sip with a nice long lingering finish. Very smooth yet strong like David Hasselhoff. Definitely a keeper in my regular rotation. Along with the single barrel Four Roses, this is one of my favorites this year. Also 2003 being my high school graduation year is kind of cool and depressing at the same time.

Haven't has this in awhile. Over at the Crack the other night and got reacquainted. Can't give tasting notes as my memory is shit but I do remember having several glasses and enjoying it quite a bit. I love my ryes and for the price point it's hard to beat this one.
