Very good, impressed with depth of flavor for 2 years old. Good kick of spice late with alcohol a little hot after but evens out with chocolate cherry undertones into finish.

I agree the mint stands out on this one with lots of spice and vanilla later, though finish is not too long. Interesting whiskey, good value.

Barrel #489 Pine Orchard Staff Pick; 100 proof version, herbal and brown sugar nose, nice dried fruit entry with kicking herbal and spice notes late; long flavorful finish with sweetness returning at end before turning back to herbal notes.

Nose has some citrus and a little woody-funk; medium- body with medium+ sweetness, palate then builds into barrel vanilla and spice flavors, light and easy finish .

Finished in sherry casks and it shows when compared to original. Sweet up front followed by a little heat and some baking spice undertones. Sweet finish, medium length.

Whiskey is buried beneath pronounced honey and pepper. There is a back and forth interplay between the two from nose to palate to finish. Pepper has heat but not as intense and long as I had expected. Worth the shot but not really my thing on its own -- maybe worth an experiment with tequila drink.
