Port Charlotte 10 Year
Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed December 24, 2020 (edited December 27, 2020)Blown away by this scotch. Wonderful nose of pest, hay, and some sea salt. Taste is just so smooth and buttery for being 50% abv. Great long finish. Will be a staple in our collection. -
Yellow Spot 12 Year Single Pot Still
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed October 8, 2019 (edited October 26, 2019)Nose: Red Apple, Peach, smallest hint of banana, vanilla. Taste: Honey, Red fruits, some brown sugar, some pepper on the back end. This Whiskey is absolutely delicious. It’s sweet, and very drinkable. If you don’t like sweet whiskey then you won’t like this. To me, this an amazing whiskey, and I will be having it on my shelf as a regular from here on out.119.0 USD per Bottle -
Just finished a dram of Weller 12 and moved on to this, and I am getting a strong smell of peanuts on the nose. I didn’t get this before with this bourbon, but I’m sure it has something to do with it following Weller 12. Peanuts on the nose. Butterscotch on the taste, with a more leathery finish. Enjoyable bourbon.

Redbreast 12 Year Cask Strength
Single Pot Still — Ireland
Reviewed June 16, 2019 (edited October 27, 2019)I don’t know much about Irish Whiskey to be honest. This one here is pretty hot though. I poured it into a glen cairn and added a few drops of water after my initial sips. It does help it open up more. I get the biscuity notes, some apricot, and it’s a little peppery to me on the back of my pallet. Not a bad whiskey, but not my favorite. -
Nose: I get pineapple initially, as it opens up I get more caramel apple. Obviously some smokiness is lingering from beginning to end. Taste: sweetness initially, moves into fruity and earthy notes in the middle, to finish with oaky and smokiness. Very complex. A wonderful dram overall. Definitely worth the price.149.0 USD per Bottle
