Barrelled 1993, Bottled 2014. This has powerful honey, heather, caramel and baked apple aromas. Mainly shows caramel on the palate. Flavor gets deep and concentrated towards the finish, which lasts quite long with an apple cobbler, brown sugar-like finish with just a touch of salt. It is a great whiskey.

Lagavulin 8 Year
Peated Single Malt — Islay, Scotland
Reviewed April 21, 2019 (edited June 19, 2019)I like this better than the 16. Has more depth and complexity. It’s a fresher and more powerful whiskey. Floral, citrus, sweet pastry and black pepper notes. Finish is consumed by salt and dries out fast. Fairly strong alcohol throughout though, unfortunately. -
Edradour 10 Year The Distillery Edition
Peated Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed April 18, 2019Fairly powerful nose reminiscent of raisins. Flavor is quite rich. Very dark fruited. Not a complex or layered whiskey but this is pretty good.
