Better than I thought it would be. Sweet but hot

Just excellent. Hearty taste but still sweet. No aftertastes or excess burn.

Not fully “bad but missing something for being a desired variation bottle. Somewhat of a weird leathery/shoe aftertaste.

Watery again, just like the 10 year rye. Smooth and sweet though if you do have to have it

Decent but not what I was expecting. Smooth for such a high rye (the spice heat comes late), but the taste has that earthy old man taste. Unsure how else to describe that.

First time I bought a “nice” bottle and was disappointed. I’ve given it a few tries and it’s hard to believe it’s a rye. Flavor seems limited and almost watery. Smooth I guess… but not in the right way…smooth in the low alcohol or low flavor profile sense. Not worth the heightened price. Bought the bottle awhile back and saw it for cheaper lately, maybe they realized it was a dud.

Nice taste, zesty, almost orangey/minty. The alcohol burn is pretty intense though so it’s hard to taste more. Perhaps that’s just barrel proof. Random pickup North Olmsted
