Tastes

Merry christmas! Nose is filled with dried fruits, dates and raisins, drizzled with caramel and a cup of coffee with whipped cream on the side. Spices added for good measure, clove and nutmeg. very nice. Actual taste is harder to place, but is definitely good, sweet and rich, bit of ginger. Is it worth the asking price? Probably not, i would rather go for Glenfarclas 25 at half the price :)

Nose: Dried fruits, mostely banana and vanilla soaked in brandy, delicious! Taste: Very sweet and fruity, with a bit of ginger. extremely smooth. and with a pleasent toffeecoffe lingering aftertaste. I will consider this again.

Interesting,smells lightly of gin and cucumber. Kicks a punch on the tongue, ice helps. Spicey and salty caramel tastes, very smooth and with a tingeliy burning finish. The sherry does not stand out for me, a bit disappointing.

Nose: sweet and yeasty, like rising dough. also fruity, pears and raisins. Taste: very smooth, bit of hay, spice and a hint of mint and eucalyptus that eventually turns ever so slightly smokey. Good dram for warm summer evenings.

Nose: Honey with a hint of wine. Taste: Salt and honey, then a kick of ginger, that fades into that good olde toffee.

Nose: light sawdust and pondwater? Taste: Much less citrus than her older sister. Pretty smooth with a burning base. Wood and hay, with mild mild toffee. Verdict: Too light for my tastes, but interesting nonetheless. young whisky can be cool too.

Nose: Malty, sweet fruits, and a bit dusty, but in a good way. Taste: Lemony toffee that lingers for a while, but also a bit of an oily feel. Verdict: Fresh and summery dram. Sampled at tasting - bought bottle. Gets better the more you drink too.

Nose, mild deep smoke, roasted malt and caramelized fruit. Taste: Smooth, light smokey chocolate and a musty winey depth from the sherry. Verdict: Pretty good, but not too offensive.

Nose: Sweet salty licorice. Taste: Salty malty, light peat - not too strong. finishes quickly without much linger.

Nose: Nice and light, sweet, fruity and flowery. Taste: Smooth and flowery with light malty sweetness. Finish: Quickly over, but the sweets linger. Verdict: To light for me, but pleasent nonetheless.
