Excellent dram Nose: citrus, figs & light chocolate Palate: citrus again and also brown sugar/caramel Finish: moderate and tapers off into a spicy dryness

Welcome back to the cabinet ol’ friend. Nose: carnival of aromas with Barrel notes, red apple, berries, new leather Palate: medium viscosity into fresh herbal, floral & grass notes but backed by vanilla & sweetness Finish: fresh, fruity, floral & spicy all at once.

I am impressed. Nose: as described- there was leather and definite a “Charleston Chew” candy note Palate: round, full & a touch oily and minimal heat up front Finish: the spice & heat show here but it is pleasant. *Preferred over Old Forester 1920*

Light, light, light. Light color, nose, body, palate and finish. I know it’s a budget buy but I was disappointed and wouldn’t repeat. It’s not bad, just boring.

*Distiller Top Single Barrels under $100* It’s not my favorite dram neat but perhaps I will bump my rating as it mixes nicely for a Kentucky Mule. I still will likely not purchase again.

Surprising- Nose: Maple syrup, toasted marshmallow Palate: spice, a little heat & Oak Finish: moderate with a warming note

*Return trips are funny* This time I get- Nose: cocoa, figs, Oak & leather Palate: vanilla, char & spice Finish: moderate and pleasantly warming

*Distiller Top Single Barrels under $100* Nose: fruit; especially cherries & hint of stone fruit with light Oak Palate: same fruit with addition of brown sugar & spice Finish: moderate w/heat up front to remind you it’s there. This will be a standard repeater in my cabinet.

Each time I have this it’s a confirmation of previous thoughts. Nose: Butter, toast, light Cinnamon & Oak with a hint of leather after it opens Palate: light but not weak - Vanilla, baking spice, char - well balanced Finish: short but pleasant, slightly tart, makes you want more.

—2nd go round & this time with food- Nose: pancakes w/syrup, almond cookies, light smoke & toasted marshmallow Palate: thin body, cinnamon, Oak & light blood orange Finish: has heat but dissipates quickly
