Spicy and minerals on the palate, dry but mouth watery finish, nice! Aperitivo whisky.

A little salty and spicy but not what I'd call nicey... Kinda flat and uninspiring, needs to up the ABV and bring the flavour!

Really quite rubbish. Standard marketing back story spiel for a harsh, thin, grainy, estery mess, cloaked with some kind of Islay in the mix to trick you into thinking its OK. It's a JW red label pretending to be black, choose black every time.

Nice, very smooth, good rye flavours, only downside is short finish.

Find this grainy, estery and uninspiring. Not as nice as their other expressions.

My bird likes it, so it must be good. Then my dad downed the rest of the bottle so she couldn't have anymore. Nice! Has a lovely approachable amount of smoke that isn't offensive, and a sweet, warming, well rounded depth of flavour.

So rich. Still a peat bomb but a great mix of sweet and salty. On the nose, under the smoke, there's caramelised raisins and cakeyness. On the palate, tonnes of saltyness wrapped with caramel. Really long, salty dry finish with underlying sweetness. Very nice.
