The more I taste this bourbon, the more I enjoy it. It has a smooth sweetness, but remains complex and bold. Tastes like a much older, aged drink.

Wow. Wonderful peat and smoke flavor that is SO smooth, particularly for the 114 proof.

Picked this bottle up at Costco for $82. One of the highest priced bottles I’ve ever purchased, but there’s no better value for whisky in the 20+ year range. The sip was extremely pleasant and smooth with no alcohol burn. There were complex flavors from fruit to smoke to vanilla and cigar. It’s the first time I’ve tried anything over 20 years old, and I was always curious how much of a difference the extra time made. At least for this whisky, it’s worth the extra time, and a few extra bucks.

Reminded me of eating an over-ripe black cherry. A nice combination of sweet and tart, with some bitter from the IPA. Smooth with nice mouth feel. Found it on sale for $18 a bottle. I can’t complain for that price.

Smooth and fruity.

Picked up this bottle while on vacation in South Africa. The country is not necessarily known for whisky production, but I was very surprised. The liquid showed a pleasant pale gold color with a briny nose. The flavor was slightly astringent which mellowed to mild oak and fruit. Overall very satisfied.
