Amaro — Sicilia, ItalyReviewed May 19, 2023Beautiful orange citrus character. Sweet upfront but with some nice balancing herbal bitterness on the back end.55.0 CAD per BottleBottega Volo
Amaro — Lombardia, ItalyReviewed March 3, 2023Classic alpine amaro. Prominently minty, but not overbearingly so. Quite sweet upfront but with a balanced herbal bitter finish.Astor Wines & Spirits
Amaro Dell' Etna
Amaro — ItalyReviewed March 3, 2023Multi-layered. Great herbal bitterness on the backend following some flat cola sweetness upfront. Classic amaro.86th Street Wine & Liquor
Cappelletti Amaro Sfumato Rabarbaro
Amaro — Trentino-Alto Adige, ItalyReviewed March 3, 2023Still absolutely love this one. Next to the oversweet Nardini Virtu di Rabarbaro, this one finally shows some smoky depth. But most of all, it is a rhubarb bomb with appropriate bitterness in the finish.Bottega Volo
Nardini Virtu di Rabarbaro
Bitter Liqueurs — ItalyReviewed March 3, 2023Great aroma of rhubarb. I enjoyed the first sips, but then the sweetness became overwhelming in this one. As a rabarbaro fan, I like it by default. But it is too sweet to be elite.Viti Wine and Lager (Downtown Vancouver)
Fruit Liqueurs — FranceReviewed January 26, 2023Very disappointing overall. Way too sweet and fruity. Only the faintest hit of rhubarb in the finish. I love rhubarb in amari and I was hoping that this would be a bittersweet liqueur showcasing the herb. It isn't. I am not even really sure how I'd use this in cocktails; I think it would end up being a generic sweetener that doesn't add much depth to the drink.28.75 CAD per BottleLCBO
Tia Maria Matcha Cream Liqueur
Dairy/Egg Liqueurs — ItalyReviewed January 13, 2023Floral on the nose and also a bit on the palate. Sweet and almost a bit fruity as well. I don't love matcha and, not surprisingly, I don't love this liqueur either. Give me a chocolate or coffee flavoured Irish cream liqueur over this one any day.
The Woods Spirit Co. Nocino
Nut Liqueurs — CanadaReviewed January 1, 2023Unlike anything that I've tried before. Nutty, almost a bit minty and with a coffee kick. Makes a nice digestivo.
The Woods Spirit Co. Limoncello
Fruit Liqueurs — CanadaReviewed January 1, 2023Not as overtly lemony as some Italian examples of the style, but adds a unique twist with some added chili heat. This bottle is too old and has lost a step, but was pretty nice fresh.
Amaro — Ciociaro, ItalyReviewed November 27, 2022I didn't love this one at first sip, but it really grew on me. Distinct orange peel character overlaying a sweeter cola-esque base with a light minty quality in finish.Toronto
