Notes of vanilla, burnt caramel, and leather in the nose. On the palate, big notes of smoked meat, more caramel, and dark cherry lead into a bitter finish of vanilla, roasted corn, and ash. There's a weird clash between sweet and bitter in the aftertaste, and I find myself relishing it. It's a monster, but it hides the 106 proof fairly well for such an aggressive dram.55.0 USD per Bottle

Vanilla, nutmeg, and grain on the nose leads to a palate of caramel, baking spice, toasted oak, and a spicy finish of licorice and wisps of smoke. Hot for 80 proof, definitely recommend a splash of water or an ice cube. At this price point, I think I prefer Grants, or Red Label for a few bucks more.15.0 USD per Bottle

Had to put a bit of water on it to calm down the hot finish. Really opened it up, revealing vanilla, musty leather, and a waft of smoke in the nose. The palate reveals multiple layers of smoke, part reminiscent of a campfire, and part smoked meat. Tons of spice in a finish that lingers. Not bad by any means, but not my favorite peated dram.
