Nice enough pour, but nothing exceptional.

Nice enough 8 year old, 86 Proof bourbon filtered through oak and mesquite. The mesquite gives this a nice spice. Not sure it is worth the price.

This is a solid bourbon, though IMHO more a mixer than sipper. Revisiting this I find it spicier than one would expect from a 10% rye bourbon, although it may be amplified by the 94 proof heat. There is a floral hint in the finish. Thougj not an unpleasant neat pour, I stand by my initial impression of this as a better mixer than sipper.

Good sipping bourbon, but too pricey to be a daily dram. There are bourbons just as good for less money.

At 90 proof, this isn’t quite as smooth as its 80 proof stablemate. It is, however, still an enjoyable dram.

Unremarkable, but pleasant enough to sip. Better than some at twice the price
