Tastes

Strong and spicy. Starts with some maple sweetness, some oakiness and licorice in the middle, and a cinnamint finish.

Flaviar Advent Day 15- tasted blind.  Nope, not a fan. Some interesting notes of maple, rose petals, anise and oak but overshadowed by a bitter, harsh finish.

Flaviar Advent Day 14- tasted blind. This is fairly smooth but kind of boring- nothing really stands out about it. Can taste sherry, some floral notes.

Flaviar Advent Day 13- tasted blind. Nice balance of sweet & spicy. This is peppery with a bit of toffee. Could be a bit smoother.

Flaviar Advent Day 12- tasted blind. I like this one- a complex mix of flavors that seems to reveal a bit more with each sip. I initially noticed the smokiness, and then the light fruit notes- some mango and apricot. It finishes with cloves and walnut, a decent bit of spice.

Flaviar Advent Day 11- tasted blind- light and fruity. Pineapple and peach. This is somewhat enjoyable but the finish a little harsh. Wish it was a bit smoother.

Flaviar Advent Day 10- tasted blind. Don't particularly like. Green young wood, a little honey, nothing really stands out.

Flaviar Advent Day 9- tasted blind. Light and fruity (lime, peach) but nothing special and quite harsh/ cheap tasting- too much ethanol burn in the finish.

Flaviar Advent Day 8- tasted blind. Grassy, medicinal, anise. Finish has some molasses and clove. Not a fan of the incredibly herbal taste.

Flaviar Advent Day 7- tasted blind. Tastes young, cheap and harsh. Strong maple, fresh wood, and ethanol burn. Edit: Once I found out what this was, can definitely pick out the sherry and the flavors in this whiskey make more sense but still don't love this.
