Benchmark Full Proof Bourbon (125 Proof)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed October 30, 2022 (edited February 24, 2023)Higher score due to price and proof. Nose: luxardo cherry and back end faint strawberry, honey…werthers caramel chews Taste: black cherry, cinnamon, butter scotch sweet but lays hot on the tongue Finish: big bold spicy finish. Doesn’t linger, but last on the outside of the tongue. Warms up the inside. Tasted neat with no water. Tasted along with the single barrel, which I felt was a longer finish, but not as good as the 125 proof.22.0 USD per BottleSpec's Wines, Spirits & Finer Foods -
Benchmark Single Barrel Bourbon (95 Proof)
Bourbon — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed October 30, 2022 (edited February 24, 2023)Nose: caramel, cherry, ethanol Taste: flat cherry coke. Sweet cherry vanilla, soft subtle cinnamon spice Finish: lingers with a nice warm burn in the finish. Cinnamon candies. For the cost I can recommend and would buy again for $21. Better than Benchmark. Not BT, but for the price and availability, I’d purchase again and share with friends.21.0 USD per BottleSpec's Wines, Spirits & Finer Foods -
