If ever there was a scotch that tastes like a campfire, this is it. Snoke and spice hit first fillowed by sweet cherry, sherry, chocolate, cinnamon and ash. All sorts of subtle flavors best described as a journey of smells from a cigar room distilled into a glass of whiskey. A truely unique and delightful dram. Super smooth and complex with a dry finish.

Super smooth; enjoy neat and savor. Oak, molasses, dried flowers, pepper and brown sugar. A little light for my taste but well balanced. An easy sipper for sure and spicy dessert dram.

Oak, wild flowers, pine, seaweed dance with a touch of citrus and salt. This special offering has the signature seaside flavor Oban is known for. Its a nice, unique offering with a smooth yet spicey finish..

The best of Barrell’s main line offerings. Maple and smoke with a smooth oak char. Very smooth, nutty and not too sweet. This dram is just right in a lot of ways. One my my very favorites with a permanent place on my shelf.

An extremely smooth and unique tasting dram. Sophisticated for sure; licorice and berries with nurmeg, apricots and spice dance well together. I wish the proof was a bit higher as it could use a touch more heat. A delicious offering with a unique twist. A higher abv and lower price would gave earned it an even higher score.

Tried this at a friend’s house.. This high proof dram is certainly a goid value but does come off a little rough around the edges.

Sweet! Vanilla, spice, molasses, toffee and rum play together at a super high abv. A dessert dram for sure, this sweet dram is best enjoyed neat as an after dinner sipper. A little too sweet for my taste.

A bit hotter than Hibiki with barley notes. Campfire comes to mind. Sweet, smooth and smokey with a long finish. Flowers, cloves, peat, honey all play well. A good Japaneese dram that reminds me of Scotch.

A circus of flavors: vanilla, nutmeg, spice, fruit, leather all blended to perfection. Super smooth and delicious. Almost mysterious in it’s complexity, this dram is unlike anything I’ve tasted. I can’t pinpoint a specific flavor, but the blend is delightful.

Picked up a private barrel from my favorite spot and wow, I was not disappointed. Based off Vantage, this Spicey but not hot dram has a meriad of flavors that dance nicely. This high abv offering from Barrel is smooth with a long finish. Dark fruit, coffee, cinnamon and sherry are blended to create a delicious dram. Deceptively smooth, this will hit you slow and hard. Be careful and enjoy.
