Tastes

Nose: sweet, butterscotch Palate: sharp sweetness to start. As taste continues, caramel, more butterscotch, dark chocolate. Cinnamon and mild smoke towards the end and lingering in the aftertaste

Nose: sweet, caramel, apples, leather, salty Palate: very earthy and woody. Oak and leather, burnt rubber and band-aids, apples and pears in the background. Long, lingering slightly acidic finish. Quite complex. Quite enjoyable.

Nose: spicy, salty, minerals and iodine. Palate: more minerals and iodine, some spice, light floral notes towards the end. Finishes with briny iodine. Found this at a liquor store with a fair discount as they were trying to get rid of this last bottle. It’s my first independent bottler and my first malt from the Isle of Mull. I enjoy trying new bottles and will gladly finish this one, but I wouldn’t buy a second.

Nose: pears, more pears, apples, and sea salt. Very pleasant Palate: pears and white fruits continue on the palate. Slight vinegar. Minimal smoky notes for a quick finish that doesn’t linger long. I could see this as a Highlander transitioning to Islays. It’s easy drinking and something I can sip all night, with a touch of smoke to finish.

Salty and sweet vanilla scent. Very nice. Vanilla continues on the palate, salted nuts, some smoky leather notes. Light on the peat for an Islay. Complex, very enjoyable.

Briny and campfire nose. Reminds me of a beach fire. Nice strong peat that doesn’t overpower other flavors. Leather, band-aids, smoke, and vanilla. Good for Islay drinkers who want more than peat. Buying again

Fruity: apples and pears. Light finish with fruit lingering

Briny and floral nose. Peat and slight fruit taste. Light finish. Flavor not overpowering; simple with not much complexity. Possibly a regular for me at this price

Has a good floral based palate with spices and fruit on top. Medium body flavor that does not linger or overpower.

Noise is salt water, pepper, burnt wood, berries Palate: smoke, spicy peppers, tar. It costs your mouth with a strong after taste that continues to smolder into your chest. Strong, complex, but not overpowering.
