Craigellachie 13 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed July 3, 2018 (edited September 28, 2018)Nose: not much. Color: light yellow and thin. Palate: crisp spiced apple cider and malt. Hot and tangy. A nice speyside. I like it iced in summer. -
Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed May 9, 2018 (edited September 28, 2018)Color: dark amber with a raspberry hint. Nose: spicy, tart cherry, malt, burnt caramel. Taste: alcohol forward (high ABV), fruit cake, caramel, muted flavors. Getting a touch of the bourbon and port after adding water, but it is background. Interesting but not fabulous for me. -

Reviewed May 9, 2018 (edited November 10, 2018)Color: golden amber, light but oily. Nose: sweet, honey, vanilla cream, heather, floral, Taste: heather, citrus, sweet cereal, citrus pith, tart, salty, finishes hot, floral, a touch perfume-like. Not bad but smells better than it tastes! -

Reviewed March 30, 2018 (edited November 25, 2019)Nose: heady, sweet, fruity. Palate: sweet, vanilla, malty, slightly smoky, very tasty and not overwhelming even at 43 ABV. I like this! I keep coming back. It may be my favorite, reasonably priced Scotch!
