Whistlepig 10 Year Small Batch Rye
Rye — (bottled in) Vermont, Canada
Reviewed December 27, 2018 (edited May 16, 2019)It's their best overall. Well, I haven't had the BOSS, but for bvb the money this is the best. It's everything you want out of a rye...spicy, sweet, fruity. Perfect mouthfeel. I mean, it's friggin delicious.75.0 USD per Bottle -
Knob Creek Single Barrel Select Rye
Rye — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 26, 2018 (edited January 18, 2022)Ok...this stuff is amazing. I did side by side with Rendezvous, Whistle Pig 12, and Kentucky owl rye. This held its own. Stood right there with the big boys. Has a little more sweetness from a higher corn content than Whistle Pig and Kentucky Owl, but not like a total b li end like Bourye. Just really really good. At $65/bottle when many great ryes are pushing twice that, a great score.65.0 USD per Bottle -
Knob Creek 9 Year Single Barrel Reserve
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 26, 2018 (edited March 17, 2019)Classic bourbon. It gets huge butterscotch on the nose and palette. Borders on being too sweet, but stays on this side of delicious. I do prefer the Knob Creek single barrel rye however. That is spectacular.50.0 USD per Bottle -
