Tastes

The nose is actually quite light for how dramatic and deep the taste is. Notes of caramel and slight barrel spice. The first sip is bursting with flavor - cinnamon, cherry, oak, and leather all come thru. The finish has a creamy texture to it, and an almost hard candy sweetness that goes with the lingering leather and spice. Perfect as we move into the colder weather.

Under the expected oak, rye spice, and rich deep caramel, I have begun finding more dark red fruit. Like a caramel candied apple and maraschino cherries laid out on slabs of toasted oak. The finish is chewy and spicy. A dram that I enjoy more each time I pour.
