Stagg Jr Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch 13
Bourbon — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed February 20, 2020 (edited March 28, 2020)Nose is cinnamon and cool mint. Palate is quick to more cinnamon but with black pepper, but fades quickly. It does leave a lingering heat in the chest. Add ice and let it sit a minute. Doughy cherry pie and a slight licorice come forward improving the experience greatly. After letting the bottle sit a few months and coming back to it, same general description but I like it more. It should also be noted that the photo on the review page is not of Batch 13. The 128.4 proof listed on the review page is correct. -

Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed February 1, 2020 (edited February 20, 2020)Light fruity nose. Palate leads with fruit followed with pepper, ending with pie dough. Fairly mild. The more I sip this the more I like it. -
Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch B519
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 25, 2020 (edited March 5, 2020)Fine on its own, but subpar in comparison to most other ECBP offerings. Less sweet, less spicy, shorter finish. -
Early Times Bottled-in-Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 19, 2020 (edited August 8, 2020)Very sweet slightly leathery nose. Super sweet and oaky palate turning to maple syrup and finishing hot in the chest. Adding ice brings caramel apples and mellows the finish. Distinctly Brown Forman, reminiscent of Old Forester. I like it. $22 on sale/$27 regular for a 1L bottle, a top notch bargain if you like oaky bourbons.27.0 USD per Bottle -
Woodford Reserve Master's Collection Chocolate Malted Rye Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 15, 2020Mild earthy nose. Rich cocoa and tobacco hit the middle of your palate. Almost creamy. If you drank it blindfolded you might almost guess to was a liqueur. Shorter finish. No burn whatsoever. Extremely unique. Not something to drink on a regular basis. -
Heaven Hill Green Label 6 Year
Bourbon — Kentucky , USA
Reviewed December 30, 2019 (edited October 20, 2020)The nose is sweet salted caramel. The palate is doughy with cinnamon and fruit notes. The 90 proof is mild and there is very little heat. You could drink this all day long. This is a bourbon almost anyone could enjoy.16.0 USD per Bottle -
Evan Williams White Label Bottled in Bond Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 30, 2019 (edited August 8, 2020)The nose is very sweet vanilla and cloves. Take several sips before evaluating. I get pumpkin pie spices and candy corn on the palate with a mild pepper finish. Very enjoyable and under rated due to its inexpensive price. I have done blind tastings of this against mid-priced bourbons with people and it always rates well.16.0 USD per Bottle -
Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 30, 2019 (edited January 7, 2020)The nose is mild with caramel, figs, and smoke. The palate follows similarly, with more caramel and fruit. The finish is warm with a slight bitterness at the very end. A good light whiskey. -
Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch A119
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 11, 2019 (edited March 29, 2021)Ahh, Elijah Craig can do no wrong. Smoky, sweet and fruity BBQ nose. Strong, but not alcohol forward. The palate is at first fruity with lots of vanilla, fnishing spicy and finally a mild doughy pie. This is a particularly high proof even for ECBP but you'd never guess it. It does finish with a nice warm chest. Truly delicious.
