Dry Fly Straight Washington Bourbon 101 4 Year
Bourbon — Washington, USA
Reviewed September 27, 2019Inhale lightly and your nose will be filled with the scent of peanut butter. The first impression on the tongue is doughy peanut butter cookie followed by pepper and finishing with nutmeg and clove. Not a long finish. Seems just a tad green. It makes me wonder what this would be like after a couple more years in the barrel. All in all not a bad whiskey. -
Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch C918
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 20, 2019 (edited January 21, 2020)Big beefy BBQ nose. Spicy palate, rich and oily. Spiciness lingers on your tongue. Candy corn finish. Follow with a sip of water. Superior. -
High octane nose will clear your nostrils, slightly woody, and reminiscent of sweet candy corn. On the palate, the sweet woodiness continues and the heat hits your lips, top of the tongue and roof of your mouth. Not smooth, but very nice. 114 proof and a great bargain at well under $30. As good or better than many I've had at much higher prices. Significantly under rated due to its price and age.23.0 USD per Bottle

Ulele, Tampa FL (Columbia Restaurant Group Batch #1), 108.0 proof 3 Baked American Pure 2 1 Seared French Cuvee 2 Makers 46 2 Roasted French Mocha 2 Toasted French Spice Frankly, not overwhelming. Lacks distinction. Nose is light and floral. The palate was a bit flat to me, at first spicy, oily, and woody but some bitterness and fades fast.

Booker's Bourbon Batch 2019-02 "Shiny Barrel Batch"
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed September 17, 2019Another classic Booker's. Slightly milder and fruitier than most. The nose is sweet with a hint of clove.Well rounded on the tongue, running the gambit of sweet and spicy that Booker's always brings. Not a long finish.
