Tastes

Very heavy malt. Lemon and orange. Sage and Rosemary. Floral with bluebells and tulips. Water is almost required for this one as it brings out the oak, caramel, and vanilla and toffee.

Nose: dense black pepper, roast corn, BBQ hot sauce, tomato, Taste: state fair corn on the cob with butter and salt and pepper, red apple, vanilla cream, charcoal, grass, white nectarine, peppermint, mesquite smoke,

Nose: butterscotch, caramel, milk chocolate, light peat, sage, dry basil, dense overripe figs. Taste: red apple, figs, butterscotch, black pepper, dried sage, dates, burnt / hardened caramel, light pancake malt, lemon / orange. Water brings out all the herbal notes hidden.

Nose: heavy heavy caramel. Vanilla. Toffee. Butterscotch, burnt corn, floral / grassy. Taste: candy corn, butterscotch, vanilla, oak, cut grass / hay. Really lacking in complexity IMO.

Nose: orange creamsicle, white grapes, butter biscuit, vanilla, heavy tulip / lavender. Taste: Butter biscuit, orange but not the deep orange of red breast, vanilla ice cream, shortbread cookies, heavy grass / hay, lavender, tulips, honey, dense southern biscuits, almost a little licorice, parsley, basil, ginger, spearmint

Re-reviewing this because there's a lot more depth to it than I originally thought. Nose: heavy butter biscuit, barley, peach / light plum, orange, lemon, sage and a bit of basil, light honey, deep cooked cinnamon like a cinnamon roll, brown sugar. Taste: Sage, Honey, butterbiscuit, stone fruit, tropical fruit (mango, pineapple, durian, lychee,papaya), cashews, barley,

Corn bread and vanilla. Black tea and eucalyptus. Would be good if the price was around $30 and not 40-50.

Very sweet honey on the nose. Taste is green apples, pears, honey, and a cake malt flavor. Like a pear upsidedown cake. Pretty fragile though, but its up there with the rest of the budget speysides.

A peanut butter and banana sandwich with some oak as well.
