Loch Lomond Inchmurrin Madeira Wood Finish
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed April 14, 2016 (edited November 17, 2019)Very fruity, full, sweet, oily, almost like port wine. Perfect for seeking balance with very smoky whisky. -
Slightly too strong alcoholic scent in nose, but full of dried fruit. Taste is very rich and oily, being somewhere in the middle between smoky and sweet whiskies. First mouthful gives a clear hint of peat. Medium after taste. Reminds me of The Classic Laddie being very fine whisky to enjoy with friends.
