J.J. Corry The Gael Irish Whiskey
Blended — Ireland
Reviewed March 15, 2019 (edited November 21, 2019)Usually $32 a pour, the bar was doing a half price discount for St Patrick's day. Light in colour Slight resemblance to Jameson 12yo. Yum!11.0 USD per PourThe Cork Gin & Whiskey -
I will need to return to this whiskey as I am a little unsure of the flavours in my initial tasting. I have just tasted the Teeling Single Grain which I thoroughly enjoyed while it was unique from other Irish Whiskeys. The Single Malt is also very unique. Vibrant nose, spicy and almost smokey. It tastes sweet and dry with a spicy and oak finish. It lingers in the mouth for a little while leaving a sweet/oily but pleasant aftertaste. 3.5 stars, I like it and yet I am unsure. Will need to return.55.0 USD per Bottle

Teeling Single Grain Whiskey
Single Grain — Ireland
Reviewed January 15, 2019 (edited November 24, 2019)Colour: light, golden colour Nose: spice with subtle sweet notes. First impression was quite strong burning alcohol, after leaving to rest then adding a little water it was much more pleasant on the nose. Taste: spice up front, with fruity sweetness slightly dry at the end Finish: wood and spice finish, leaves the tongue coated in a wine like sweet oiliness which is very pleasant YUM!47.0 USD per Bottle -
Colour: light, golden Nose: sweet with notes of vanilla and banana with some spiciness Taste: sweet and fruity again, with hints of clove and possibly stone fruits. I found it a bit heavy up front for a whiskey that is 40% but after a few sips found it quite easy to drink Very similar to the Teeling Small Batch Whiskey, which is not surprising since both have been sourced from the Cooley Distillery.9.5 AUD per PourDux Central
