A very nice, juniper forward, artisan London Dry (if that makes any sense). Straight up, it's warm and comfortable in your mouth; something I've come to expect from RofR. Anise comes through and you know there are other flavors, but to me, they were just out of reach for identification but not smell or taste.

Castle & Key Roots Of Ruin Harvest Seasonal Gin (2021)
Modern Gin — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed July 25, 2022 (edited May 22, 2023)I like gin, but never been one for drinking straight...until now. Smooooth, oh so smooth. On the nose: juniper followed by anise. There's more, but a little out of reach. At 102 proof, you would thing it's going to bite you, but nope, coats the tongue with a masterful blend of herbs and spices. Again, primarily anise (and juniper) with much more.45.0 USD per Bottle -
I prefer rye over bourbon, just getting that out there. This is by far the best rye I have tried. On the nose it soft, not too sweet, oak, tropical, with a bit of that floweriness you might expect from a highland scotch. First on the tongue is alcohol (it is 100 proof), but not at all overpowering, just a nice coating of the tongue. Then it's just spicy, smooth, rich, but I'm sorry, can't really make out the flavors, which really aren't too deep.55.0 USD per Bottle
