Tastes

Lots of oak. Notes of toffee and butterscotch, dark chocolate, chocolate covered cherries. Long finish

Nose smells of grain, young. Taste - corn, lots of it. Young, some unripe fruit. Would love additional years in the barrel. Good, not bad. Would drink again but wouldnt buy the bottle.

Nose is floral, minty, green apple, very nice. Taste: sharp, spicy up front. Continues with grass notes, banana, green iced tea. Finish: little tannic, medium. Not bad but not great. I like it

Re taste: Nose is minty, fruity (candy-runts), some vanilla and toasted oak. Taste follows suit with the nose. Certainly some younger notes, but not off putting, more green apple, hay, corn flakes. Quicker finish, but has a nice hug in the back of your throat. Overall, very nice. Love the story. Either the bourbon has opened up or my palate has changed since the last tasting when it first came out.

Nose: sweet, maybe some honey or fruit pastry. Taste - more sweet and peppery than fruity. Lots of proof and oak. Tannic and oak finish. Pretty long linger.

Found at the distillery after picking a single barrel barrel proof. Nose: old timey cherry and vanilla coke. Pepper. Sweet - iced oatmeal cookies. Taste: more of the cherry/strawberry shines. A good bit of spice. Strawberry unfrosted poptarts. Finish: nice, medium, sharp. Classic fruity old forester.

Great nose. Spicy, woody. Taste is complex. Grainy, pitty (fruit - apricots, maybe a dark plum). Im getting spice from something in a longer finish. Its a complicated taste that i am enjoying figuring out.

Nose is woody (cedar) and mint. Some mint follows on the palate (wintergreen gum). Trying to pick out the fruit. Short finish. Its a very approachable bourbon.

Frutiy and woody. Some baking spice. Long finish. Pretty good balance

Nose: fruity, strawberry watermelon ice, runts candy, rosemary. Taste: sticks with the fruit forward, spice cones in late and lingers. No oak, and very light or thin. Longer finish, very solid overall. Doesnt hold up with ice, maybe a deop or two of water. Nothing wrong with it, missing something (maybe oak or sweetness thats typical with bourbon). Would drink neat and would buy another every time to have a back up bottle.
