Wow, this is lovely. The aroma is wonderful, dominated by caramel and vanilla. The flavor is very nice, too, with vanilla, oak, peanuts, baking spices, and that nice sweet/tart combination. This is a delicious, full-flavored whisky.

I’m a fan of George Dickel products, and like their new bourbon a lot. The aromas and flavors are pretty much what I want in a bourbon, although they’re a bit subdued; vanilla is especially light. There really aren’t any negative notes for me, though. The price is reasonable, too.

Richer and stronger aromas and flavors in Wild Turkey 101 than in the entry-level Wild Turkey. Creme brûlée and a touch of honey in the nose. Vanilla is more prominent on the palette, and there’s no hint of smoke in the finish. The higher ABV in Wild Turkey 101 is noticeable, but not as much as I thought.

Strong aromas of brown or caramelized sugar and s’mores. Very rich, sweet flavors dominated by brown sugar, gobs of oak, and cherries. Perhaps too rich for an Old Fashioned…consider using something less overpowering.

It’s got the usual bourbon elements of vanilla, oak, and brown sugar, plus a bit of cherry-flavored pipe tobacco. Some light pie spices, especially cinnamon, too. I really don’t have anything negative to say. It’s a very tasty bourbon at a very reasonable price.

This flavored moonshine (unaged whiskey) is made using the still in The Underground speakeasy at The Mob Museum in Las Vegas. It’s only 60 proof, but the bite of alcohol is made up for by the bite of ginger. The flavor of ginger is very strong, so if you’re not a fan, stay away from this moonshine.

Floral aroma. Wow, that first sip was nice. Unexpected bold, rich flavor. No peat, no smoke. There’s the usual flavors of vanilla and oak. There’s also a slight hint of cherry or even cherry-flavored tobacco, and a bit of menthol in the finish, which combine to remind me of cough syrup, but it’s very light so I don’t mean that in a bad way.
