Tastes

Nose- grain/rye, toasted oak, vanilla, maple syrup. Mouthfeel starts off a bit thin but then lingers and coats with a gradual warming. Solid straight rye whiskey.

Chestnut color. The nose is wonderful, cherry, apricot, slightly floral, honey, almond. Nice mouthfeel, beautiful coating. Medium body. Slightly hot on the back of the palate but that quickly gives way to extended warmth. Taste, nice subtle char, fig, sweet and salty. I’d say bit more salty than sweet, vanilla, almond and oak.

Very smooth with an increasing warmth. Rich nose and taste; the body is medium. To me a light cherry, some peach hits first then transitions to caramel, chocolate, butterscotch,oak, honey, nut and char. Long finish. Love the nose on this beautiful bourbon, absolutely draws you in.
