Fortaleza Blanco Still Strength Tequila
Tequila Blanco — Tequila Valley, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed February 2, 2021A half notch above the blanco. Just a bit more burn and minerality. Excellent. -
Siete Leguas Blanco Tequila
Tequila Blanco — Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed January 3, 2020 (edited February 5, 2023)Salty and somewhat sweet. Spicy black pepper burn late. Not as earthy and vegetal as Fortaleza, but still has a nice spicey rustic edge to it, nice metallic salty nose, but not harsh. Very nice, tad sweet.54.0 USD per Bottle -
good sense of vegetal agave juice, but has strong alcohol burn in the nose and taste. WRT Fortaleza, it's a little cleaner front to mid taste with more burn, and a bit more sweet towards the finish. Has a bit of earthy mineral notes in the late finish. It's like Fortaleza, but a bit cleaner and with less character and more burn.50.0 USD per Bottle

Fortaleza Blanco Tequila
Tequila Blanco — Tequila Valley, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed May 3, 2019 (edited April 22, 2020)peppery vegetal agave nose, taste is clean boozy agave, pepper, metallic, plant fiber, slightly oily mouthfeel. Overall outstanding pure expression of distilled agave. Earthy pure, agave forward.50.0 USD per Bottle -
Avión Reserva 44 Extra Añejo
Tequila Extra Añejo — Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico
Reviewed April 19, 2019 (edited July 4, 2020)boozy creme brulee caramel nose. Taste is like a dry, rum like hard to pin down strong spirit. Don't get much agave vegetal flavor or smoke, more like a grassy cognac. My first high end extra anejo, so my palate is still learning. Good but lacking in agave character/soul, amorphous generic strong rummy spirit flavor to me. I wish it would commit to being either more agave vegetal, or go more caramel sweet spirit, but it rides the fence, which makes it less interesting.98.0 USD per Bottle
