Loch Lomond Original
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed April 10, 2021 (edited January 3, 2022)On the nose, there is ethanol and butter. On the palate, I taste black licorice, baking spices and caramel. I don’t taste much fruit as they say on the label. This is one of the better budget Scotch whiskeys as I’ve had far worse.20.0 USD per Bottle -
Old Overholt Bonded Straight Rye Whiskey
Rye — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed January 16, 2021 (edited April 18, 2021)Nice expression of rye whiskey. Tastier than Rittenhouse bottled in bond neat and much better than standard Old Overholt. On the nose, there is a tinge of alcohol and rye. On the palate, there is caramel and corn sweetness with some warmth in the backend. Very good rye. -
