Maybe a bit more maturation?

This is such a clean and straight dram. None of the peat of the 18 year Old and yet all the complexity of what feels like Sherry Cask maturation. I don't think I've had one of my bottles ransacked as fast as the HP 18 and this 17 yo Japanese Malt.

Not really a fan of peated whiskies, or Ardbergs for that matter, I was glad to find one that I did not need to apologize to my guests for serving it. Delicious and enjoyable.

I love the "beware of the dog" sign on the bottle. I'll give this peated dog an above 4 rating for its solid performance.

Solid Macallan. Looking forward to the Sherry Cask and the double wood.

This thing will arrive at your home in a honey chariot, take you to the prom in a muscle car, and take you back home in an S Class with neumatic suspension. I don't think you'll be able to find a single malt that take you on such a roller coaster ride before you forget you were even there.

It is very hard to justify this price for this Macallan which, to be honest, isn't any better than any other whiskies at a fraction of this price, let alone better Macallans.

Very nice! I'm not going to say sweet because it is not, nor am I going to say peated because it is not one either. It is not, certainly not, spicy. Well balanced with zero aftertaste. Give Bimber a try!

In the past, I've always ended up a taste of any Gelndronachs with an apology. This time, at my great trepidation and sorrow, I'll do the same. Sorry guys, I guess I am just not a Glendronach fan. There's simply too much spice on those drams and age is not something that helps it.

You bring this down to bellow 50, I'm calling this perfect! Awesome favour from this blended Sion Whisky.
