So this one is not bad at all but I had high hopes for this one and it didn’t quite live up to it. Smell you get some fruits like lighter fruits nothing heavy. I get some tobacco in there with a HINT of oak/smoke. Taste is mouth covering with light flavors that are virtually the same as smell. Tobacco, some leather, fruits with a hint of oak in the back from the American oak casks. Not bad but not the best single malt by far.

Absolutely love this Whisky. Knob creek is a Jim Beam product and I’m usually not a huge fan of Jim Beam products. On the nose you get the rye up front but not overwhelming. A little sweetness combined with a dill note from the rye. Vanilla and caramel are also present. Taste is spicy throughout but again not overwhelming spice. Almost pie like spices present with the vanilla coming toward the end. This one shows what a true rye should taste like.

Jack Daniel's Tennessee Honey
Other Liqueurs — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed October 25, 2017 (edited December 31, 2017)Wow this one is just sweet! You definitely get the old number 7 but with like straight molasses in it. It’s actually not bad at all if you’re looking for a good dessert Whisky. You get the taste of Whisky with the corn, the barley, the light oak but you get that honey up front. I enjoyed this more than I thought I would considering I tend to enjoy a more heavy, complex whisky. -
I bought this really out of novelty because the stores in my area have really all since discontinued it. The smell is just maple BAM hits you in the face like pure maple syrup. You get a little bit of oak in the back and some leather like smell but mostly maple and taste is just the same....MAPLE SYRUP right up front, very sweet and not much after that. Has some spice from what I would assume would be the oak. It’s not bad but it’s not an everyday Whisky due to how sweet it is but it might be considered a good dessert Whisky.

Old number 7...where do we begin? This is a classic. On the smell you get corn right up front, the sweetness from the corn. You get a tiny bit of oak and maybe a hint of vanilla but very light on smell other than corn. Taste is very one dimensional; light bodied, sweetness from the corn is present and as is a taste of chemical that I never can explain with jack Daniels. Really no other tasting notes to speak of maybe a little vanilla and a tiny bit of oak. Overall it’s not terrible but definitely not my go to Whisky.

Monkey Shoulder Blended Malt
Blended Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed October 19, 2017 (edited December 14, 2017)This was not a bad one but was not my favorite either. Initial smell was that of honey and some citrus. Taste notes were about the same I had a hint of oak undertones with citrus and honey up front and lasting throughout. -
Jack Daniel's Gentleman Jack
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed October 16, 2017 (edited March 22, 2018)I was not a fan of this Whisky when I first tried it around 3 years ago. I gave it another shot here recently and I was a little more impressed this time. Not my favorite Jack Daniel offering but not my least. At first you don’t smell much then this smell of bananas hit you with a little vanilla and really not much more. Tasting it is about the same. Very mellow Whisky with not a whole lot in the flavor department. Initial thought is sweetness with some banana, little bit of caramel and vanilla. Really no oak to speak of but I enjoy it for what it’s meant to be.....a good sipping whisky that’s not harsh with any flavors. Nice break from the heavy ones! -
Jack Daniel's Single Barrel Select
Tennessee Whiskey — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed October 16, 2017 (edited October 19, 2017)By far the best offering from Jack Daniel Distillery! Rich flavor with heavy oak, leather, caramel up front followed by some vanilla. Spicy through out. Jack Daniel typically has a taste of like chemical that is especially prominent in the old number 7. This Whisky does not have that taste to it. One of my favorites
