Fresh sample bottle at work. The nose has a dry brown sugar sweetness with awesome herbal notes. I think this is a bottle too overlooked on most shelves. Super solid, dry spicy well rounded rye.

Sweet, spicy and smoky. The nose is filled with classic islay with salt, iodine, smoke and peat with hints of hazelnuts. The plate is so oily from the sherry adding huge nuts, vanilla and raisin. The finish goes forever with mouthwatering peat and islay spice. Beautiful.

I have had the 21 year and it was devastatingly awesome. On the same trip to Utah I snagged a bottle of midwinters night dram at the distillery whichbibwill actually rate a 4. This is from act 1 released last year. Real dark fruit and tobacco spice and much sharper than regular rendezvous. Act 2 this year has some toffee notes to back up its spice, I assume finished for more than two summer months the second time around.

I have a soft spot for this one. Huge rye (and booze) spice along with heady caramel and bits of orange and cocoa. I'm not afraid it mix this one, drink it neat or smoke a cigar with it. Great quality and value for the bigger bourbon drinker.

Great tweener scotch. On the west coast of the highlands this malt gets a heady dose of marine salt, soft smoke and great fruity malt. Accessible and balanced.

Malty, grainy and bold. Only three people work here! Classic rich highland malty sweetness.

I know it's purchased grain, but the toffee, mint and grassy rye spices on it are mighty tasty.

Nice big red fruit and oak, but not overly complex at the price point. Very approachable
