Must have got a bad bottle. Smelled and tasted like glue or varnish.

Not as smooth as it should be for an 18 year old. Nonetheless it's still quite good. Nice toffee, spicy brown sugar and citrusy orange peel flavor. Nice creamy mouth feel. If you can get it cheap it's a great deal which is not hard to find.

How is this so cheap? Deep, dark and rich. My go to for Old Fashioneds and Manhattans. It's a 100 proof so it stays potent in cocktails.

The 12 year old on roids and smoother. Outstanding. Minus one star for it's outrageous price.

An average dram in my opinion. Floral and fruity nose but it eventually goes flat on the palate. Could benefit from being at a higher ABV.

Wow...smoked meats on the nose and surprisingly sweet. The sweetness is a combination of fruity apple and coastal flavors like seaweed and salt water. Morning dew and earth also come to mind. Similar to Laphroaig without being as intense and medicinal. Long complex finish and very intricate, very hard to figure out. A new favorite!
