Tastes

Nose: Vanilla, caramel, oak, red caramel apple, slight campfire, toffee, brown sugar, and peanut. Palate: Peanuts, vanilla, caramel, cinnamon spice, and maple syrup. There is a nice buttery flavor and texture with this bourbon. Just a tad bit thin on the palate but finishes nicely in a cinnamon French toast sort of way.

Nose: Toffee, honey, hazelnuts, butterscotch, plum. Palate: Honey, plum, sherry, brown sugar, baking spices, and vanilla.

Duke’s Seafood Pick Nose: Caramel drizzled apple blossoms, doughiness, brown butter, oats, vanilla, brown sugar, oak, and the Twinkie-like nose that I get with Woodinville bourbon. Excellent nose! Palate: Caramel drizzled apple blossom with a nice scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, cinnamon sugar, toasted barrel spice, and a hint of chocolate. This is a very nice treat. Fall in a glass!

Nose: Toffee, fennel, citrus, honey, lemon, and clove. Really herbal and earthy on the nose with some sweetness. Palate: Orange, honey, lemon, cinnamon, vanilla, black pepper, mint, and brown sugar. Spicy and sweet - an excellent rye.

Nose: Butterscotch, vanilla, pine, baking spices, cereal grain, chocolate, and apple peel. Palate: Chocolate, vanilla, caramel, baking spices, spearmint, brown sugar, and cinnamon. The finish which lingers for quite a bit is reminiscent of a York peppermint patty. Delicious!

Nose: Dark caramel, vanilla, raspberry jam, maple syrup, toasted coconut, crème brûlée, chocolate, and oak. A very beautiful nose. Palate: Caramel, raspberry jam, burnt sugar, vanilla, chocolate, oak spice, crème brûlée, and pepper and more spice. An exceptional bourbon - very lucky to have a sample.

Nose: Vanilla, caramel, almonds, smells like a fresh twice-baked almond croissant. The oak is there, hints of cinnamon, and brown sugar. Very nice nose! Palate: Twice-baked almond croissant carries through on the tongue. Lots of vanilla, honey, and almond upfront. Second sip gives some oak followed by black pepper, cinnamon, orange zest, and toffee.

12241 Nose: Lots of vanilla, hints of caramel, milk chocolate, hint of nuttiness. Palate: Grandma’s vanilla sandwich cookie, sweet breadiness followed by the creamy vanilla center. Hints of caramel, baking spices, and toasted oak are there towards the end of the palate. Finish on this particular bottle is a bit short and wish it didn’t end so abrupt.

Nose: Dried orange peel, cinnamon, brown sugar, baking spices, hints of mint. Palate: Apple crumble, cinnamon, brown sugar, caramel, honey, vanilla, and oak.

Nose: Nice and sweet with brown sugar, vanilla beans, chocolate fudge, barrel char, butterscotch, and peanut butter. Palate: Lots of vanilla, dark chocolate, peanut brittle, toffee, caramel fudge, brown butter, and oak.
