Nose: Caramel, apple pie, nutmeg, vanilla, powdered sugar, fried dough, cherry, oak, and cinnamon. A wonderful nose - very sweet and very “desserty”. Palate: Apple pie in liquid form, the pie crust is there, nice flaky and buttery, caramelized apples in dark brown sugar, vanilla, spiciness coming through from cinnamon and nutmeg - barrel char and oak towards the end. So damn good!

Weller Special Reserve Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed December 21, 2021 (edited January 14, 2022)Nose: Crème Brûlée, vanilla, honey, apple, cinnamon, and oak. Palate: Honey, vanilla, cinnamon, apple, and oak. This bourbon has a buttery feel on the palate. Very easy drinking which is reflected in the proof as it also feels a bit thin. A bummer that this usually sells much higher than the price it should be. Definitely drinks in that $20-$30 range and when it is within that range it is solid. -
