Tastes

Nose: Caramel, apple pie, nutmeg, vanilla, powdered sugar, fried dough, cherry, oak, and cinnamon. A wonderful nose - very sweet and very “desserty”. Palate: Apple pie in liquid form, the pie crust is there, nice flaky and buttery, caramelized apples in dark brown sugar, vanilla, spiciness coming through from cinnamon and nutmeg - barrel char and oak towards the end. So damn good!

Nose: Caramel, vanilla, cocoa powder, cherries, and maple syrup. Palate: Cherries, cocoa powder, vanilla cake, oak, brown sugar, and spice.

Nose: Brown sugar, vanilla, cherry, honey, baking spices, and caramel. Palate: Brown sugar cookie, hint chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla, and cherry. Gives a nice Kentucky hug due to the proof. Legs for days within the glass.

Nose: Honey, charred oak, vanilla, a hint of graham cracker, dark chocolate, butterscotch, grape soda. Palate: Toffee, vanilla, charred oak, cherry, butterscotch, cinnamon, caramel, black pepper - long lingering finish.

Nose: Mulled wine, figs, black licorice, cinnamon, and honey. Palate: Figs, orange peel, boysenberry syrup, raisins, allspice, cinnamon, and mint.

Nose: Gingerbread, maple, molasses cookies, and vanilla cake - a wonderful nose. Palate: Custard french toast, maple syrup, cinnamon, and with a whipped butter. A nice mix of sweet and spice. A wonderful pour!

Nose: Crème Brûlée, vanilla, honey, apple, cinnamon, and oak. Palate: Honey, vanilla, cinnamon, apple, and oak. This bourbon has a buttery feel on the palate. Very easy drinking which is reflected in the proof as it also feels a bit thin. A bummer that this usually sells much higher than the price it should be. Definitely drinks in that $20-$30 range and when it is within that range it is solid.

Nose: Cherry juice, red licorice, cinnamon, raisins, apple, and brown sugar. Palate: Grapes, cinnamon, vanilla, black cherries, and brown sugar.

Nose: Butterscotch, vanilla bean, brown sugar, and toffee. The nose is very similar in describing the taste of a Werther’s Original candy. Palate: Caramel, vanilla bean, a bit of oak, baked apple, honey, and corn.

Nose: Citrus, clove, mint, caramel, vanilla, and some slight smoke. Palate: Black pepper, mint, clove, orange, cinnamon, caramel, and vanilla.
