Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 31, 2021 (edited July 10, 2021)Hot damn this is bold. Tons of spice and cinnamon throughout. Leather and oak. Normally I drink my bourbons neat, but decided to toss in an ice sphere to allow it to open up a bit more. This allowed the vanilla to make itself present and a slight hint of butterscotch too. 66.4% -
Four Roses Limited Edition Small Batch Bourbon (2020)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 29, 2021 (edited June 18, 2021)Aroma - fucking awesome - that is all Taste- extremely complex and bold.. Berries, honey, rye like spice, very slight orange/ citrus. Even some brown sugar. Huge wet oak. The best part about this bourbon is in its finish. It sits on the palate quite long. 5 minutes later, the gums are still tingling from alcohol, and I’m still getting that rye like spice with a touch of vanilla. Overall, this is simply outstanding. Massive thanks to my friend Kyle for this pour. Haven’t had a bourbon that “wowed” me like this one in quite some time. -
For $35, you won’t find another 10 year for this price. Nothing even close. However, for a 10 year bourbon, the oak is quite a bit more subtle. Nutty, honey, some cocoa on the finish. It’s a bit light in my opinion. But that’s okay. This is extremely crushable. And definitely something to have in hand at all times

Reviewed May 17, 2021 (edited April 14, 2022)Tons of mint and barnyard hay. Slight touch of honey, bubblegum and dark fruits on the finish. Insanely complex for the price point. For $60-70 price range, this is a must have. -
Old Forester 150th Anniversary Bourbon (Batch 03)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed May 16, 2021 (edited July 9, 2021)Aroma is incredible. Don’t even want to take a sip. Full of vanilla, cherries, toasted oak and even banana bread. Taste- massive brown sugar, vanilla... very syrup-like. A slight hint of that banana bread again here.Oak is present but subtle. For the ABV, this is incredibly smooth and easy drinking. Wish I had more of this one. -
