J. Henry & Sons 5 Year Small Batch Wisconsin Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Wisconsin , USA
Reviewed July 17, 2021Aroma- massive sugar candy and toasted oak. Subtle hints of Peppermint, Cherries. Taste- unfortunately this one doesn’t exactly follow the amazing aroma. There is still sugar candy and that unique oak. But I was expecting more just based off the aroma. It’s thin and had a moderate lingering vanilla note that is nice. The sweetness reminds me of a dessert. Initially I was going to give this a 3.75… but the more I sipped on it, the more I really started to enjoy this flavor. I’ll rate it a 4 but I would say it’s 3.9 Overall - think of OF 1910 but a touch watered down.55.0 USD per Bottle -

DIGITS Bourbon
Bourbon — (aged further & bottled in California), USA
Reviewed July 8, 2021 (edited July 7, 2022)Nose - leather, spearmint Taste - sweet candied fruits, vanilla, light on the palate. The smoothness on this one is pretty awesome. However, I was expecting a bit more complexity at this price point. ($60 per bottle) Bottom line - If your new to bourbon… the smoothness is ideal. But this may be underwhelming to others If they do a cask strength or barrel proof… look out.60.0 USD per Bottle -

Smoke Wagon Uncut Unfiltered Bourbon
Bourbon — Indiana (bottled in Nevada), USA
Reviewed June 20, 2021Getting lots of rye and cinnamon/red hots. There is a like fruit presence… but I’ll be honest, I cannot pin point which one. This one is bold in flavor. Really enjoyable bourbon.
