Tried neat. On the nares it’s sweet with notes of vanilla, white chocolate, agave, maple syrup, funfetti cake with cream cheese frosting, cake batter!, candy corn. On the palate I wanted it to have every note I mentioned to the nares however, not quite. BUT on the palate it’s smooth and earthy with notes of vanilla cake and finishes like a smooth anejo and slightly harsher cristalino. I’m not mad at this pour.. very entertaining. @looneyhead

Tried neat. On the nares it’s nutty with notes of cinnamon, vanilla, tart fruit, honey, cherry, almond butter. On the palate it’s smooth with notes of vanilla, cocoa, spearmint, black pepper. With an interesting sweet but hot finish. This is very yum!

Tried neat. On the nares I get cherries, spearmint. On the palate it’s smooth with a hot finish with notes of char, nuts, leather, and slight maple syrup. I will let this open up next time and come back when I have more time!

Tried neat. A little numbing sensation to the tongue. Notes of cinnamon, clove, & ethanol. Thin on the palate.

I didn’t realize I hadn’t rated this one! Tried neat from my collection. On the nares it smells sweet with strong vanilla and oak and brown sugar. It’s a hottie on the palate, that’s for sure. Toasted oak notes. I usually sip my bourbon neat. This is very hot for me neat. However, I’m not mad at it and will continue to try and sip neat. I placed over a rock and as it opens up its not as complex as I wanted but… I thoroughly enjoy it.

I could never give my location to this amazing bar because bartender just won some amazing award, crap. Tried neat. Hot on the palate. But delicious. I’ll come back to it. Does anyone else struggle with being at the fanciest place and hanging with friends? Can’t rate this right now. See ya!

Bronze color. Tried neat. On the nares I get vanilla cream, caramel, apple crisp with strong green apple, and butterscotch. On the palate it’s smooth with notes of clove, char, crème brûlée, light pepper. This is so great, don’t get me wrong.. but I have to come back to it. I think my expectation from the hype of this bourbon may have affected my overall tasting/outlook.

Happy to be the first to review. Barrel N 22F1957. Tried neat. Beautiful auburn color. On the nares it smells sweet and delicious with notes of vanilla, oak, maraschino cherries, sea salt, candied pecans, figs, brown sugar, caramel. On the palate it is very smooth for a rye and nutty with notes of pecan/almond, vanilla, wood, cinnamon, pepper. This is complex and overall delicious! I have to say.. this must be my favorite Rye I have had.
