Macallan 12 Year Sherry Oak Cask
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed July 28, 2019 (edited August 17, 2019)Full of dark fruits and sherry are expected however in the beginning of the bottle a tang of ginger and garlic. The finish is reminiscent Rossi Vermouth. At the end of the bottle a slight oak and banana can be found in this sweet and sour 12 year.54.99 USD per Bottle -
Upon opening reminiscent of makers 47 and glen signant, full of spice some smoothness with a slight unrefined burn. Some cinnamon oak vanilla with prominent notes of black licorice in the finish. This whisky does smooth out the lower the bottle get and when it’s the last dram you really want another bottle.

Glenmorangie Signet
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed July 28, 2019 (edited August 15, 2019)Buttery smooth with loads of complexity that are not limited to; cocoa, oak, tannic wood, carmal, coffee, fruit and slight banana. This is all going on while the mouth feel maintains the light airiness that Glenmorangie is known for. At $200 dollars it’s a special treat that will rarely be had in my shelf.199.99 USD per Bottle -
Old Pulteney 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed July 28, 2019 (edited August 17, 2019)Old Pulteney highlights sweet and rich honey that is complemented with bits of salt and slight carnal. A great finish that’s longer in length than most 12 year scotches that coats the tongue and leaves you wanting more. A great price at $46. The second bottle is noticeably more floral while containing the rich complexity. The best 12 year old I have tried by far.38.99 USD per Bottle -
At first opening I was way let down with this bottle, it was only when it was half way gone did it really open up and shine. The nose is medium peat with a stone fruit sweetness with malt and slight ethanol. On the pallet slight melon and a good amount of peach showing up all rounded out with peat. The finish is medium and a bit more with a great drying chocolate. A great price and a higher score if not for the lack luster beginning. I am excited to see what else they have to offer.41.99 USD per Bottle

GlenDronach Original 12 Year
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed May 4, 2019 (edited August 17, 2019)The neck tastes like cherry ginger cola with a delicious burn. This bottle develops to a ripe cherry brown sugar with the spice of cinnamon cardamom. A well rounded delicious whisky. Excited for the 15!69.99 USD per Bottle -
Some vanilla but mostly fruits honey and malt. On warmer tastings the fruits shows up better with a cantaloupe and hint of mango. The pallet showcases a medium body with a sweet mouthfeel that ends in a bitter cigar ash however it is not a pleated whisky. It has a reasonable burn for 100 proof. Not a go to but a worth a try.
